The Maine Chapter of Partners of the Americas (POA) welcomes you to our new web site. Chartered by POA in 1967, Maine and the state of Rio Grande do Norte in northeastern Brazil have enjoyed a sister-state relationship featuring cultural, educational, health and other exchanges for nearly 40 years. It is sometimes referred to as "Maine's best kept secret." We hope this site will better inform you about our partnership, its purpose, activities and opportunities.
Maine Partners is a non-profit, 501 (c) 3 organization run entirely by volunteers. Membership is open to adults, students and businesses with interest in Brazil.
